BIRTHDAY WEEK

TUESDAY, JANUARY 29, 2013

I recently caught up on posting my Christmas changes,
those have all come down since.

Days ago I posted my 2013 improvements,
including the "best of 2011/12".
Yep, I jumped on the New Year's bandwagon

This last week, full of many events,
included redo's, birthday celebrations,
10 years in the youth ministry,
 & our student moving out.

BIRTHDAY FLOWERS
I love me some Gerbera Daisies!
Thanks lovey
Phew,
If I hadn't lived it, I wouldn't believe it.
Don't remind me about tax time & my baby girl's birthday,
those are around the corner too.

Here's the run down.

Well, a kind of condensed version
for you short-on-attention-span folks
hahaha

THE BEST OF 2011/12 & New Year IMPROVEMENTS

FRIDAY, JANUARY 25, 2013

Yes, I'm currently over  30 days late
in posting the "Best Of"for 2011/2012
and 24 on the whole New Year's resolution thingy.

I guess that may be 1 of the many things I need to work on this year,
being current/consistent.
I'm not into resolutions per se,
but definitely addressing areas of growth.

So, like many of you who have thought about your 2013 improvements,
mine are after The Best Of, below.

Here's the BEST of this last year,
NOT what I thought, but what you did based on views.

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS pt3 DIY DRIED FRUIT ORNAMENTS & BELTED GARLAND

THURSDAY, JANUARY 17TH, 2013

Remember the ornaments I mentioned
WEEKS ago?

These are it!
DIY DRIED FRUIT ORNAMENTS, DIY BELTED GARLAND, CHRISTMAS CRAFTS

I loved the natural element the pinecones gave to my kitchen/dining table,
so I decided to continue the natural theme in my living room by using dried fruit.

I got the idea from this super savvy girl,
She's REALLY doing things on a budget and its amazing!
She's also a great cook and regularly shares her recipes.
Y to the U M.

I was so tempted to use her idea for a tree skirt
but it will have to be for another year.

Here are the steps to make the ornaments.
How I made my garland follows right after.

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS pt1 CHRISTMAS WREATH WITH FRESH ELEMENTS

TUESDAY, JANUARY 15, 2013

OK, its "tomorrow"!

Our wreath

So WHAT was I up to all of December?

Crafting, decorating and helping my church transfer in lots of donations for the Christmas outreaches we were having.
I am amazed at what people can do to bless others when God's at the forefront of it all.

I had the pleasure of attending/serving at many Christmas parties.
Yippee
I also helped with the search of gifts, toys, etc for the families of our church and those it reaches, who otherwise wouldn't have received something during the season.
  It was fun!

But I forgot my 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of REDO'S (12.6.12)
 AND my 1 YEAR on BLOGGER(12.7.12) !!!
 WHERE was MY BRAIN?!! REALLY?
Forget about our annual Christmas photos, those never happened :(

We were also HEAVILY, persuaded to sit and watch lots of Christmas movies/specials, and the 25 Days of Christmas, which was so easily accessible through On Demand.
Throw in some cookie making, coffee/hot chocolate sipping, blankets, cozying up,
and well, you get the picture.
Maybe I'll do a recap of some 2011/12 faves.

For now, here is the start of my Christmas 2012 changes, decorations & crafts.

WINTER BREAK

TUESDAY, JANUARY 8, 2013

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
and
HAPPY to be back :)

All I have to say for myself is "sorry"
Life, love, family, friends, festivities & Christmas
took precedence and I got swept up in it.

I had plans you know,
to show you all that I had worked on.
For reals.
Ehh,
 You forgive me.
haha
Downhere-How Many Kings
Before I talk about what I've been up to or HAD been up to,
listen to my FAVORITE Christmas song!

Yes Christmas is over........
But NOT at my house!

Christmas decor is still up,
the tree is rediculously dead,
the lights glow
and Christmas tunes play.

We're not ready.
 :)

But I'm ready to be back so I'll "see" you tomorrow!
