DIY BIB NECKLACE:REDO

SUNDAY, JUNE 29, 2014

I hope you've all had a great Sunday.

I'm barely awake.
Went to bed really late, was up early,
had a fun service,
had quick visit with awesome friends,
went into a great church planning meeting a bit after(3+ hrs),
tried so hard not to yawn, failed,
came home to my kiddos in time for dinner,
ate leftovers,
put baby down,
hubby took the older two to Target for ML's birthday shopping
and now, here I am.

FYI my son turned 11 this FRIDAY!!!!
I'll share soon.

DIY BIB NECKLACE, DENIM BIB NECKLACE, NECKLACE REDO
The original post on this bib necklace is here
I reworked this bib necklace last week.
I still can't believe it started out as the collar to a denim dress.
This little piece has come a long way.

I think I'd only worn it a few times,
mainly because it was busier than I hoped for(too lazy to fix it)
and a tad wonky at the tip(too lazy to fix it).
The few times I did wear it, kept having to readjust
the bib because of the weird angle.

I got tired of seeing it go unused.
NO MORE.

BEAT THE BORES- PRODUCTIVE SUMMER PLAN

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18, 2014

kid summer plans, summer schedule with rewards

As if my kids didn't get enough schooling,
I've put a summer plan into effect.
It's somewhat of a schedule of productive activities
WITH tangible and for the most part, immediate rewards.

I got a little whining from the kids but mostly acceptance.
Regardless of their feelings, this wasn't up for discussion.

Primarily because I want to keep their learning momentum going,
Ensure *success this coming school year,
Discourage just lying about, watching t.v.,
Regulate how much Wii/gaming they're allowed,
Teach them the cost/value of summer activities
and
Curb the "I'M BORED" statements.

EASY DAD'S DAY CORK SIGN

THURSDAY, JUNE 12, 2014

dad's day sign, cork sign, dad's day cork sign

Dad's day is around the corner!

I thought I'd throw a little something together.
It was super easy and inexpensive.

CUTE SHEETS INTO SWADDLING SQUARES & 5 MONTHS!

THURSDAY, JUNE 12, 2014

YAAAHOOOOOO!
Today was the last day of school for my kiddos.
I feel both excitement over a relaxed schedule,
no homework,
or packed lunches,
overall fun I plan for us to have
and sentimental because another school year has come and gone.
Advancement in grade:
= Growing up
=Graduating
=God's life plan
=Moving out
= Empty nest

=Where did my babies go?

Anyone else feel that way?
SWADDLING SQUARES, REUSING BED SHEETS, BED SHEETS INTO SWADDLING SQUARES
We just celebrated 5 months!
 That's up next.

Ok moving on.

I seriously had never heard of gauze/muslin wraps until this last year or so.
Like ever, EVER.

Again, we didn't have a computer or internet 10+ years ago
when my son was going to be born.
(When daughter was born we had both but still wasn't aware of them!)
I didn't know many people in Sacramento or preggo's at the time.

It turned out (like my other two babies), that he was an extremely hot baby.
Not to the point of concern, just uncomfortable for all of us, sweaty uncomfortable lol

That June of '03, had been extremely hot too.
I believe it hit record temperatures that month, with the hottest day being the 27th!
(my son's birthday)

They could have really come in handy.
( I'd STILL like to try the muslin ones)
