As promised a look into K & M's special day.

The happy couple!
Dinner was served, toasts made, honor's and laughs shared
and dancing 'till the late night.
Remember the Make do challenge?
Ok so I had to buy this 1 thing!
Technically 4, a tank for me too, N.S.'s dress $5+ & M.L.'s shirt $10 both clearance
It was clearanced at Target $17+
It was my size but too long and very frumpy.
I could have easily just taken in the straps, fixing all my problems
BUT would have created another one,
Being short means I HAVE to make sure my body doesn't look more awkward
haha
L: I separated 4" of elastic from the back of the dress.
After removing tag, I pinned the seams together and
sewed from the back of the dress down to the opened elastic area,
taking in 2". I cut the excess and sealed edges.
This was going to help with the long straps, puffy top and large arm holes.
C: Next I pinned the top & skirt back together, stretched elastic and sewed.
R: The bottom portion was still a little big so I took it in.
Now for the length.
I'd seen lots of short/long dresses, so I thought I'd try it
I folded dress, matched seams, pinned and then angeled the cut in the front.
I then folded the edge and sewed.
Its hard to tell but the front IS shorter than the back.
I wore with jewelry the M.S. gave me, my thrifted belt & clearanced shoes.
After Mama T pointed out we had the SAME shoes
I asked her if she'd gotten them at Old Navy,
she smiled & said "yes".
I guess we're both fans :)
