Remember my last post where I mentioned WICKED?

You know, the back story on Glenda the good "witch" and the other not so good one.

Well, I got to go see it with M.S. and her family.

I love the Wizard of Oz, 
own Return to Oz- although a little too dark for kids, 
The Wiz,

a cartoon version of the Wizard of Oz 
and Veggies Tales' The Wonderful Wizard of Ha's
but
 had NEVER seen or really heard much about Wicked.

It's M.S. & her sis E's favorite musical. She too has a sis with the letter E!

Well, I'm not much on witches and the such but I could not pass this up.

Thanks girls, it was fun!

REDO

A "bit" ago I worked on this *donation purchase* blouse, which I think I may keep

I've been happily busy with my kiddos and my childcare ones as school has been out almost a month now, so I'm barely posting.

And guess what?!

PicMonkey is finally up and running which allows me to make the collages I was missing.

Its not as good yet, but I'm sure it will be eventually.

Left: I initially didn't take any of the width in thinking it would work out ok. I learned later that I should have.

Top: I used elastic 16" long, pinned across both sides and along the middle of the front side, as evenly as possible.

Bottom:  I then stretched fabric and elastic as I sewed.

After trying it on, I realized how big it still was so I took it in from the arm pit all the way down to elastic, tapering as I went.

I removed the tag from the inside which allows me to wear it both ways.

I chose to wear it backwards, so I opened up buttons and ironed in the v-neck.

Left: I wore with silver jewelry, jeans, black flats & my orange bangle for fun.

Pretty easy redo!

PS...

I've worked on a few other items, some I just donated to the sale this week.
I included little tags with the blog info.....maybe one day I'll see those items again BUT on someone else!
Wouldn't that be SOOO COOL?!
